From 3 to 5 July, the PAS GRAS project will once again join the Coimbra Gym Fest and the Trampoline World Cup, reinforcing its commitment to bringing science and health closer to the community through engaging and interactive activities.

Now in its fourth consecutive year of participation, PAS GRAS partners once again with the Gymnastics Association of the Centre Region (AGDCentro) to promote healthy lifestyles at one of Portugal's largest gymnastics events. This year's edition will bring together around 400 gymnasts from 23 countries competing in the Trampoline World Cup, alongside 930 participants from 64 organisations representing 19 countries in the Coimbra Gym Fest, with more than 1,500 participants and visitors expected throughout the event.

Visitors are invited to stop by the PAS GRAS stand, located inside the Pavilhão Mário Mexia, where children, young people and adults can take part in interactive games, quizzes and challenges focused on physical activity, healthy lifestyles and obesity prevention.

The stand will also showcase the educational resources developed by the project, including the PAS GRAS science comics. Visitors will have the opportunity to receive copies of these publications, with the project's latest comic book being presented for the first time during the event. Participants who complete the activities will also have the chance to win special prizes.

PAS GRAS' participation forms part of its wider communication and engagement campaign, which aims to increase health and science literacy by raising awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, adequate sleep and other environmental and behavioural factors in preventing obesity and promoting lifelong health.

According to PAS GRAS coordinator Paulo Oliveira, "this will be a great opportunity to discover the activities developed by the PAS GRAS project, interact with our researchers, and at the same time enjoy an outstanding international sporting event hosted by the city of Coimbra."

The event takes place at Pavilhão Mário Mexia, in Coimbra. Admission is free on 3 and 4 July and on the morning of 5 July. Tickets are only required for the Trampoline World Cup finals, taking place on Sunday afternoon.

We look forward to welcoming you to the PAS GRAS stand!
